These terms cover your use of ExamFox, a revision planner for GCSE students. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are under 18, please read them with a parent or guardian.
ExamFox is run by ExamFox, contactable at thomas@jeremylab.uk.
1. Who can use ExamFox
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. ExamFox is designed for GCSE students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but anyone meeting the age requirement may use it.
2. Your account
- You sign in with a Google account. Keep that account secure — anyone who can sign in to it can sign in to ExamFox.
- Give us accurate information about your subjects, board, and school.
- One account per person. Do not share your account with others.
- You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this removes your personal data as described in our privacy policy.
3. What ExamFox does
ExamFox helps you build a revision plan, track your progress, find official exam board papers, and get feedback on practice answers you submit. Study guidance, spec content, and question tagging are prepared in advance by ExamFox; only the marking of a practice answer you submit uses an AI model at the moment you ask for it.
ExamFox does not host or provide exam board question papers or mark schemes. Where we point you to a paper, that link goes to the exam board’s own website. Your use of a board’s materials is subject to that board’s own terms.
4. No exam or academic guarantee
ExamFox is a study aid, not a guarantee of any grade or outcome. Marking of practice answers is generated automatically and is provided to help you improve — it is not an official mark and should not be treated as a prediction of your real exam result. Nothing in ExamFox is a substitute for your school’s own teaching or advice.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of anything you upload, such as a photo of a practice answer. By uploading it, you let us process it solely to provide the marking feature to you, as described in our privacy policy. Do not upload anyone else’s personal information, or content you do not have the right to share.
Do not upload a live exam board question paper or mark scheme, or any text copied from one — that material is the exam board’s copyright, and ExamFox does not store it.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use ExamFox to harass, bully, or share content that harms another student;
- try to access another student’s account or data;
- try to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to ExamFox or its underlying systems;
- use ExamFox for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we reasonably believe puts other students at risk.
7. Availability
ExamFox is provided free of charge. We aim to keep it available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw features. We will try to give notice of any change that materially affects how you use ExamFox.
8. Liability
ExamFox is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, or for any exam or academic outcome. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where you live elsewhere in the UK and mandatory local consumer protections give you the right to bring a claim in your own courts.
